Bursaries and Scholarships
The NBASW offers financial assistance to members for their education or continuing professional development.
Cooperators Bursary for Student Members
The Cooperators home and auto insurance, in partnership with the NBASW, are pleased to offer three student bursaries, valued at $500 each, awarded on an annual basis. Student members of the NBASW who are studying in the following Schools of Social Work are eligible to apply for a bursary: Mi’kmaq/Maliseet Bachelor of Social Work program, Université de Moncton School of Social Work, and St. Thomas University Post Degree Program
Application Deadlines:
- Students enrolled in l’Université de Moncton School of Social Work January 31st each year
- Students enrolled in the Mi’kmaq/Maliseet Bachelor of Social Work program March 1st each year
- Students enrolled in St. Thomas University’s Post Degree Program August 1st each year

NBASW Scholarship
The NBASW Scholarship Fund, valued at $500, is awarded annually to a registered and practicing (in New Brunswick) member of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers for the purpose of undertaking studies leading to a higher degree in social work, or to a specialized certificate program or course related to social work.
The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31st each year.

CASW & NBASW Grant
The Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW), in partnership with the NBASW, are pleased to offer a grant, valued at $3000, to assist in the delivery of continuing education to New Brunswick social workers. The grant may be accessed by a single member or a group of members wishing to host a continuing education opportunity for New Brunswick social workers. Funding for this grant is made possible by BMS, the broker for the CASW liability insurance program.
The application deadline for this grant is December 31st each year.

The Cooperators Bursary Fund, valued at $500, is awarded annually to a registered and residing in New Brunswick member(s) of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers for the purpose of undertaking training such as conferences, workshops, seminars and webinars.
