Become a Social Work Technician

There are currently two pathways to apply as a social work technician.

Social Work Technician Application

This process applies to those who:

- Have successfully completed a recognized social work technician program:

 OR

- Are currently registered as a social work technician-equivalent in another jurisdiction in Canada (Ex: Social Service Worker with OCSWSSW)

 OR

- Are eligible candidates for the NBASW foreign qualification recognition program. If you are unsure whether you qualify for the program, please contact the NBASW.

Social Work Technician Substantial Equivalency Application

This application process applies to those who have not graduated from a recognized social work technician program and who have completed post-secondary education in a related field. Please note that work experience may be considered in the substantial equivalency application process.
