2018 Member Satisfaction Survey

You may remember that about a year ago, the NBASW conducted a membership survey as an effort to find out how you as a member feel about the work you do, about your Association, and specifically what suggestions you had for how we could better serve you as Association members, and in your chosen profession.

Based on your response, we took several initiatives, including:

  • More advocacy work. Over the past year we submitted to government, papers on legalization of cannabis, financial abuse of older adults, domestic and intimate partner violence leave, and we participated in the provincial pre-budget consultations.
  • We reworked our newsletter to make it more informative and engaging
  • For Social Work Week we ran a social media campaign aimed at informing people of the important work social workers do, including a Letter to the Editor that led to a media story on the diversity of the profession. We also produced a promotional video aimed at people considering social work as a career.
  • We have been working on a new and improved website, that we launched at our June 2018 AGM.

Now, we want to survey you again, for a couple of reasons. It will give us responses that we can compare to last year’s benchmark, as a way to measure how you feel we are doing as an Association. But even more importantly, it will give us further direction on where you feel we should focus over the coming year, and to what extent your priorities from last year may have shifted. This will help us determine how best to serve you.

This should take you 5 to 10 minutes to complete but we trust you will agree it is worth your time as it will help your Association in how it can best serve you as a member. And like last year, there’s a prize up for grabs. Those who take the time to respond by July 4, 2018 will have their names entered into a draw, with the winner having their 2018-2019 dues reimbursed.
