Student Member Application
Being a Student Member of the NBASW provides you with opportunities to apply for student bursaries, network with experienced social workers and connect with your professional association. And best of all: student membership with the NBASW is FREE!
To apply as a Student Member, you will need to:
- Complete the application form for student membership. If you cannot open the PDF form, please click here for a .doc format.
- Submit a letter from the University Registrar (or ask the University Registrar to forward one directly to the NBASW) confirming that you are a student enrolled in an accredited Bachelor or Master of Social Work program.

Please note: student membership becomes null and void upon graduation, unless you are a student pursuing your Master in Social Work immediately following completion of your Bachelor of Social Work, in which case you can remain a Student Member during your MSW. After graduation, if you wish to remain a member of the NBASW, you must apply to be a member of the Association. Student members are not permitted to use the title “social worker” or practice social work.
